The Tower Windmill, Burnham Overy Staithe

Beldings Cottage is a refurbished and extended Norfolk cottage which was originally part of the Holkham estate, dating back to the late 1700s. An extension has created a garden room, a kitchen/breakfast room and a third upstairs bedroom. It has an enclosed patio garden with a shingled drive area, and is under a mile away from Burnham Market and the coast at Burnham Overy Staithe – both of which can be reached on foot.

The cottage consists of:

Ground Floor

Garden Room: Light and spacious room with sofas and doors opening onto the terrace and outdoor seating area. It leads through into the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area which has a wood-burning stove in the centre, making this a warm and comfortable space throughout the year.

Kitchen: an cream painted well-equipped kitchen with granite work tops and a Belfast sink, a double electric oven with induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, dishwasher and a washing machine, wall-mounted TV. There is a round dining table with 6 chairs and a wood-burning stove. On the other side of the wood-burner is an office/snug area with a bureau and a selection of books and games.

Cloakroom: hand basin and WC.

Sitting Room: A separate room with a wood-burning stove, 2 leather sofas, plasma TV/DVD.

The cottage has wireless broadband and Freeview TV via a BT receiver.

There is a staircase which is not steep and has a rail on both sides.

Outside

There is a shingle drive with plenty of parking space. Outside is fully enclosed and has been landscaped with the addition of a terrace seating area with outside furniture and a barbecue, willow fencing and flower beds. The gate onto the road can be closed so it is safe for young children and dogs.  The entrance is narrow and requires care when driving in or out.

A lockable shed contains bicycles and some garden, barbecue and beach equipment.

Please note that the neighbouring cottage has a pedestrian right of way across the back garden and out onto the road.
